Cromer Campus

On Friday 14^th November 2025 we held our 47^th annual sport awards assembly in the school gym.

This year was our biggest awards assembly ever, with approximately 200 award recipients and over 400 sport awards presented.

We were fortunate to have Debbie Watson OAM, Olympic Water polo player, as our guest speaker. It was so great to hear all about her journey as an elite and Olympic athlete and to see her Olympic Gold medal from the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

This year, we introduced a new award, the Sporting Excellence Award for those students who represented Australia in their chosen sport. The 2025 recipients for this award were: Micah W (Basketball), Zoe G (Cheer), Lucas K (Futsal), Andi L and Jamie L (Softball).

Highlights from the 2025 assembly included:

Certificate of Achievement

The Certificate of Achievement (COA) recognises students who are members of a team that win a Grade sport competition, are the best and fairest players in the Grade sport competition, Warringah Zone Carnival third place recipients, Gala Day winners and coaches, age champions or a member of a Knockout team that achieve the third round of the Sydney North competition.

Certificate of Recognition

The Certificate of Recognition recognises students who represent Warringah Zone at Sydney North Carnivals, members of Knockout teams that make the Sydney North quarter finals or are school age champions across all three sports in swimming, athletics and cross country.

Half Blue Certificate

The Half Blue Certificate is awarded to students who represent Sydney North at State level (CHS) competitions in either individual or team sports.

Blue Certificate

The Blue Certificate is the highest sporting award that a student can achieve. It recognises success at State level by placing in the top three in their chosen sport.

Premier's Sporting Challenge

This award recognises students who show tremendous sporting spirit and enthusiasm and are possible leaders among their peers. They are supportive, encouraging and perhaps inspiring in their sporting endeavours.

Student Service to Sport Award

This award recognises a student who has shown exceptional commitment and leadership within our sporting community. Their initiative in organising events, leading extracurricular activities, and fostering an inclusive environment has made a lasting impact. They consistently demonstrate Cromer Campus core values and serve as an outstanding role model.

Staff Service to Sport Award

This award celebrates an individual who has demonstrated exceptional talent, dedication, and achievement in their chosen sport. The recipient has represented their sport at an international level, showcasing outstanding skill, perseverance, and commitment to excellence. They are a role model for others, displaying teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship both on and off the field, and proudly representing their school and country with distinction.

Sporting Excellence Award

The Staff Service to Sport Award recognises outstanding contribution to school sport both within Cromer Campus and the wider community. This award recipient goes above and beyond their regular teaching commitments to sport, with the goal to increase sporting opportunities for our students.

Sportspersons of the Year Award

Every year, Cromer Campus presents a trophy to the outstanding male and the outstanding female Sportsperson for that year. The nominees must not only be successful in their own field, but also show a willingness to represent the school in a number of disciplines and exhibit exemplary sportsmanship, commitment, hard work and leadership.
