Endeavour program
The Endeavour Program was developed to address a school wide concern where high potential students were underachieving, evidenced through historical analysis of value-added HSC data. Students for inclusion in the program are identified through formative assessment data, NAPLAN results, staff feedback and ATAR projected scores.
Student Mentoring
Mentoring is provided by trained staff members and students meet with their mentors regularly. For young adults at our campus, there are many benefits to being involved in this program. It is designed to support students through regular guidance, advice and encouragement. Goal setting and progress checks mean that students can identify areas of improvement, and also subjects where more targeted strategies need to be applied.
Outcomes
Teacher Mentors provide academic guidance, helping students understand the requirements of complex content, improve study habits and achieve results commensurate to ability. Student motivation and engagement with thier studies is increased, leading to improved confidence, study habits and academic outcomes.
