School Concludes
- 3pm (2.00pm Thursdays)

Any student arriving after the bell at 8.50am must report to the Student Welcome Centre to sign in using their student ID card (issued after school photos are taken in March) and collect a late slip which is shown to the student’s class teacher.
Parents will be informed by SMS if a student is not at school or has arrived late. SMS messages are sent through a randomly generated phone number which is not linked to the school. This message can be replied to with an explanation for the absence. Student whole day attendance can also be monitored by parents through the Sentral Student Portal.
If a student is not in class, it is their responsibility to catch up on work missed.
Advising of absence from school
As a parent or carer, you are responsible for ensuring your child attends school every day when they are of compulsory school age. You must explain all absences to the school within 7 days.
Please phone or email the school before 10am in the morning to report your student absent or late.
SMS messages are sent to Parents/Carers for students who are marked absent or issued late arrival in period 1.

There are a lot of interesting activities you can get involved with out of regular class time.
We use internal messages on Sentral to promote clubs, activities, notifications and messages to students.
Follow us on our official Facebook page for articles and interesting things happening in our school community
Homework is valuable in consolidating, extending and / or enriching the school's learning programs.
There are two types of homework which students are encouraged to do each weekday - written homework involving a task set by teachers, and study in the form of revision, preparation and general reading.
In the Junior years, students should do at least one hour of homework each night.
Senior students should do at least two hours work including their own study and preparation.
Students may attend our Homework Society to complete homework assignments or other projects and seek guidance from teachers supervising each session.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school from 3.15pm to 4.15pm - in the Library.
Queries may be directed to Mr Markovina (Science Faculty)
Students who are feeling unwell during class time should ask their teacher for an Out of Class pass and report immediately to the Office.
Administration staff will contact a parent to collect the student.

The Student Representative Council involves students in many areas of school life. SRC members assume high profile leadership positions within our school community. The SRC meets weekly at lunchtime and operates under its own constitution. The constitution was devised and written by students on the Council.
Students from each year group are elected by their peers to represent them on the Council and together with the Captains and Vice-Captains, work together in helping to formulate decisions and to arrange activities, which aim to make our school an interesting and enjoyable place to learn. The SRC also initiates and supports fundraising activities to benefit our school and others in the wider community.
The Department of Education supports the wearing of school uniforms by students and the upholding of high standards of dress by students. Students are expected to wear the uniform during school hours, while travelling to and from school, and when engaging in school activities out of school hours. A core rule set by the Department of Education states that all students in N.S.W Government schools are expected to “maintain a neat appearance, including adhering to the requirements of the school’s uniform or dress code policy”.
School Policy
The school’s community has determined that Cromer Campus is a uniform school, and all students are expected to wear the regulation uniform set out in this policy. The uniform policy, for both the junior and senior, was developed after much consultation with the parent community. The Cromer Campus uniform reflects school community standards and expectations. The Cromer Campus Uniform Policy is linked on the school website.
There is no summer/winter uniform changeover date. At Cromer Campus we encourage students to dress accordingly to the current conditions. This commonsense approach ensures students are in uniform and comfortable all year round.
Breaches of Policy
On any occasion that a student attends school ‘out of uniform’, they must have a note of explanation signed by a parent and should give it to their relevant Deputy Principal. If the breaches of the uniform code continue, parents will be contacted to resolve the problem. If the problem persists a formal caution may be issued.
